Matthew King

Prior to joining KLJ Consulting, Matthew worked with the Hunter Water Corporation where he gained experience managing a number of large and small infrastructure projects. These projects provided Matthew with significant experience in both hands on engineering as well as procurement and contract management.

Matthew’s areas of expertise include tendering and contract management including tender preparation and assessment, contract management and procurement & project engineering. He has additional knowledge and experience in co-ordination roles and supervision of inspection resources. Matthew is also highly skilled in the review of safety and environmental documentation and the processing of claims assessment & dispute resolution.

Matthew has added to his considerable knowledge and experience by administrating major contracts in the berth construction area of the NCIG Coal Export Terminal project. This required Matthew to overview progress in the wharf area and take on responsibility to ensure the safe and timely completion of work for the construction of ship loading facilities. Matthew also controlled the supply of major equipment for these facilities in addition to control and co-ordination of major dredging works.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental) degree from the University of Newcastle.
